TheHusband got a 30% discount on tickets to the Disney Live Magic Show. Well, honestly, I wasn't at all enthused to watch -- I even suggested to TheHusband that they watch while I go shop and roam around Ayala (more on the latter than the former, actually). Kaso ayaw pumayag ni Sharkteeth, so dutiful mama watched. Wala kasi talaga akong hilig sa magic. The knowledge that there's a trick in there somewhere kinda makes me leery. So we flew in early to Cebu last Saturday and spent the morning in Ayala. We went to the hotel to freshen up a bit before the show. The thing is, pagdating namin sa show, hindi makita ang booking namin. Everything was done online, so wala kaming ticket, just the deposit slip and the confirmation from the contact person. After a few minutes, the one manning the bookings handed us tickets, mentioning that he just upgraded us. Mind you, we paid for the cheapest tickets (bronze seats), so I was just expecting a minor upgrade. Aba! Aba! Aba! VIP tickets ang binigay sa amin. So happy! Alam nyo kung anong part ang hindi happy? Yung Disney merchandise! Everything was overpriced. S wanted to buy a souvenir. Eh, she already spent the money I gave her on a Geronimo Stilton book, so waley na syang pera. I wanted to give her money, but I didn't want to give in kasi baka masanay na lagi ko syang pinagbibigyan. Solution? Binulungan ko na lang si TheHusband, "ikaw na magbigay ng pangbili ng souvenir." She got a Mickey wizard's hat with candy floss. Tuwang-tuwa. She enjoyed the show so much. She's a bit shy of being in front of other people or when performing, but when Mickey asked for a volunteer, she excitedly waved her hand. Sayang, she wasn't chosen. Pati ako, cynical me, nag-enjoy ng todo! I found myself smiling while watching. Actually, pati ako, nag-raise ng hand when they asked for volunteers. Hahahahaha! Aaayaw-ayaw pa ha. It was highly entertaining.

Ang medyo kainis eh yung katabi ni TheHusband. They announced that taking pictures of the show or recording the show isn't allowed. That woman, parang walang nadinig. Todo record sya. Ilang beses syang ni-flashlight as warning. Titigil sandali then start na naman. Ang tigas ng ulo. Paulit-ulit. Napikon na yata yung mga organizers, a bouncer with huge arms went to her and gave her a stern warning. Ayun, tumigil si ateh. Gusto pa eh napapahiya. Tsk.
