"You're The Worst" Fangirling

I said my goodbye to The Good Wife when Josh Charles did, and after that, there has been a lull in my viewing habits. I love Garfunkel and Oates' videos in YouTube (The Loophole is particularly excellent -- biting, funny, irreverent, and daresay blasphemous), so I watched their show, Garfunkel and Oates, a few times. Eventually, however, the show seems to  have lost its center and is just swimming along. That left me without any show to watch. When TheHusband, who is the family's purveyor of TV shows, suggested You're the Worst, I wasn't at all excited to try it, especially because Jimmy kept on taking pictures of his "dingdong" in the pilot. BUT I'm so glad I did. It showcases the awkwardness of early relationships (and nonrelationships), and I'm almost tempted to say that it's a romcom, but it's much more than that -- it's raunchy and sincere and cynical and funny and charming and edgy -- all at the same time!!! The cast is perfectly matched, and the lines and banter are very witty and easy on the ears. You know what I mean -- much as I love the wit of Veronica Mars, its dialogues sometimes sound forced and cringeworthy.

You can just imagine how kilig I got when one of the actors, Desmin Borges ("Edgar"), and two of the writers favorited my tweet! I know, I know, it's not a big deal and they are most probably just looking for You're the Worst hashtags and favoriting (is there such a word, favoriting?) them. But still... I'm so kilig. So, so, so kilig!!! Yes, apparently, kilig enough to blog about it. So sue me. :)

I'd love to hear from you, good or bad. And remember, if you can dish it, you better be able to take it!
