Kwentuhan Time

Pensive

Parang ang tagal matapos ng May, ano? O dahil napakarami kong activities -- TheHusband's Cebu birthday trip, na-hospitalize si Sharkteeth, I finished a book, McDo Kiddie Crew ni Kulet, Ebay-ing full time, trying to be fit (failing miserably, hehehe)...parang feeling pagod, pero hindi naman sobra-sobra. Just right.

May nabili akong 1 liter of fresh goat's milk. Ang mahalia pala nun, ~130 pesos. It's very good in boosting immunity, so bumili ako for S. Kaso ayaw nya, may odd taste daw, ayaw inumin. Sayang naman. Goat's milk is very good din daw for the skin, hence the influx of goat's milk soap and lotion.

So ako naman, eternal optimist pagdating sa skin care, kinuha ko yung natira ni S na glass of milk at ipinaligo ko. **Ansabe naman ni Cleopatra?!** I massaged it to my skin and let it stand for 10 minutes. I washed it off with water, kaso sobrang moisturizing, parang malagkit sa skin, so I washed it out with soap. Nag-work na ako. Few hours later, parang may naaamoy akong maanggo. It was not exactly sour, nor did I smell like a goat, but I distinctly smelled like milk. Meeehhhhh...meeeehhhh...meeeehhhh... Needless to say, I'll stick to goat's milk soap na lang. :)

13 pesos for a tiny tub. Seriously. Pero hindi Jollibee kwento ko. I was enrolling S sa McDo Kiddie Crew last Sunday, and I saw a teenage girl get a small plastic tumbler (the one used for water) and pour gravy in it. With the tumbler already halfway full, a crew saw her and asked her if she has a gravy tub (yung kasamang binibigay with the chicken order). Wala daw. The crew said that getting gravy without the tub is not allowed. The teenage girl got flustered and seemed embarrassed, more so when the crew confiscated the tumbler half-filled with gravy. The girl left and returned to her table, and the crew left as well to, presumably, throw away the gravy. I felt off about it. I mean, okay, it's not allowed, but would it be too much if she just lets the girl have the half tumbler of gravy that one time? Especially since the gravy is going to be thrown in the garbage bin anyway. Sayang naman.

I watched Mean Girls, for the first time (pathetic, right?), last Friday. It was all too real -- all the cattiness, cruelty, hypocrisy, meanness of high school, all beautifully acted. Rachel McAdams is perfection as the ultimate mean girl. As I watched it, I felt a bit sad for Lindsay Lohan. At such a young age, she showed that she has what it takes to get to the top, talent-wise. Too bad, she has her own fierce demons to fight. I'm rooting for her. I mean, look at Robert Downey Jr.

I was chatting with Derdo last Friday. I asked her about Sitti; one question led to another and napunta ang usapan kay Illac Diaz and Robin da Rosa. Grabe sa looks department ang mag-pinsan yun. Nung nagpasabog ang Diyos ng good looks, alive, awake, and enthusiastic ang buong angkan nila. And Illac Diaz seems so intelligent and socially responsible. Iboboto ko yun if he ever runs for public office. Magbo-volunteer pa ako. I remember in the early to mid nineties, crush na crush ko si Robin da Rosa. Minsan, on my birthday, napanaginipan ko naging boyfriend ko sya. Hahahaha!) I can't seem to find a copy of his [groundbreaking] Swatch commercial with Joanne Pascual. Anyone? Help out a fan? :)

Uy, I have new reader daw according to Diane. Yay for me! Hi Coleen! Thank you SO MUCH for reading. Na-inspire tuloy akong magkwento. Hehehehe. Huwag kang magsasawa...

  1. If I were a boy... (kanta ata un hahaha) Robin da Rosa, Illac Diaz and Marc Nelson ang pinakakinaiinisan ko. Like medyo counterpart ni (face that launched a thousand ships #yearbook) Hahaha

Agree with Lindsay Lohan... To say that she is "sayang" is even an understatement. Don't know if dahil ba maaga siya nag work, na deprive siya ng tamang childhood, broken family... I think Coleen can better explain it to us. :D Hi Coleen!

    1. Re Marc Nelson. A former officemate saw him in Boracay and he was so gallant and accommodating daw. However, password protected...hehehehe.
Ikwento na yang istoryang gatas na yan. Milk with calamansi ba? Maganda din daw sa skin yun eh.
Napanood mo ba si Lindsay Lohan sa Parent Trap? Only eleven, yet her acting prowess shined.
      Taga-showbiz ba si Coleen? :)
Speaking of showbiz, grabe, fan na fan ako ni Solenn. More than her beauty, appeal, and talents (bakit plural, so unfair, hehehe), I love her self-confidence.

Bumalik... caught in the act ako, ginagawa ko yung formula haha

She's in the field of human behavior (Sorry Coleen dinaldal kita)

Solen... isa pang nakakainis yan hahahahaha Height at ganda, o sige na ikaw na hahaha

    3. Hahahahaha! Caught inflagrante delicto.

Naku, human behavior ba? Baka unwittingly eh we're subjects of Coleen's study/research...

  2. sayang talaga si lindsay. i loved her in the parent trap. kung hindi siya nagloko, she would've been one of the top stars today. but yeah, there will always be that comeback from a troubled childhood. look at drew barrymore who's now happily married.:)

re: gravy - i once tried that with KFC. thankfully, hindi naman ako sinita. i ended up regretting it kasi bagong luto pa ata yung gravy and ang init-init habang bitbit ko pauwi.

    1. Habang buhay, may pag-asa! :) Go Lindsay!

I think di masyadong strict sa KFC. Na-off lang ako dun sa crew ng McDo kasi she had the chance to be magnanimous, to be the bigger person, and it seemed a little petty to confiscate the gravy. Nasayang lang. :(

  3. Natawa ako dun sa goat's milk! :)

  4. Pati meat ng goat ay maanggo. I remember eating goat's meat when I was young, na-trauma ako kasi ang tagal mawala ng aftertaste. Di ma wash off ng ilang litrong tubig. Pati goat's milk ganoon din pala. Hehe

Wasted talent talaga si Lindsay kasi you know she's a star at such a young age.

Gwapo nga ang very sensible. Pero feeling ko password protected din. Hahaha. Si Robin Da Roza and Marc Nelson, well let's say ... confirmed. Lol

Say it isn't so. :)

  5. Free ba ang gravy sa Mcdo?

By the way, interested ako sa goat's milk soap. Any brand that you can recommend?

    1. Yes, basta dala mo yun gravy cup mo when you refill. I don't even know why other fastfood charges sa refill. Siguro eh isinasabaw nung iba. Hehehe.

Isang brand lang ang na-try ko, Canus.

  6. We wear pink on Wednesdays! ;) I am so happy to discover your blog! And turns out we have some common friends, Rose and Diane :)

Ako naman, I grew up seeing my Mom use evaporated milk every time she showers. Bale after the soap, banlaw banlaw, then she would massage the milk on her skin, and rinse after a few minutes. Used to do it in high school and college until tinamad na ako altogether. Hahaha.

I'd love to hear from you, good or bad. And remember, if you can dish it, you better be able to take it!
